The series follows an adult Justin Russo, living a normal life with his wife and two sons in Staten Island until his sister Alex asks for help with a young wizard-in-training named Billie. He revives his magical skills in order to mentor the young girl while balancing living a normal life and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.

"Everything Is Not What It Seems"

Justin Russo lives an ordinary life with his wife Giada and two sons, Milo and Roman; however, when his sister Alex arrives with a young wizard named Billie, she asks him to be her wizard teacher, but he declines due to giving up magic after being fired from WizTech. When his sons find out about wizards after Billie conjures up a "Floogie" monster, he decides to help train her magic and destroy the monster. Justin, Billie, and Alex enter the family lair, where Alex tells Justin a prophecy that says Billie must prevent the world from ending.

"Nigh Is Now!"

The family ponders where Billie and Roman may have gone. Alex appears shortly after, looking for Billie. After Alex finds out Billie is missing, she and Justin work together to locate the missing kids. Billie and Roman arrive at a fortress, where they are confronted by a man who identifies himself as Silas Evilini, the son of the villainous Dr. Evilini. Silas reveals that Billie's amulet is imprisoning his mother following her actions in the original series. Before Silas can use Billie to free her, Justin and Alex arrive and force him to retreat. They return home to find Giada and Milo held captive by Silas. Silas again attempts to use Billie's powers on the amulet, but is stopped when Roman and Milo block the spell, which causes them to gain wizard powers. They, along with Billie, imprison Silas in the amulet. Later, Minister McFigglehorn visits and explains that as there are now multiple wizards in the household, the competition to determine the Family Wizard must eventually take place, with Justin as Roman, Milo, and Billie's teacher. She also takes the amulet for safekeeping. However, as McFigglehorn turns away, her eyes glow red, seemingly controlled by an evil force.

"The Wizard at the End of the World: Part One"

In light of Quentin working for Lord Morsus, Justin can't find any information on him and has cast a spell to prevent Billie from leaving the house. To get out after receiving a Messenger Fish carrying a message from Quentin, Billie tricks Milo into casting a spell that would've replaced Roman's gummy bears that end up flooding the house. While the Wizterminator works to remove the gummy bears, Justin takes his family to Alex's apartment as she is often never there. To their surprise, Alex was there as she hears about what recently happened. While Alex takes Justin and Giada to visit Bigalow McFigglehorn, Billie uses the Messenger Fish to track down Quentin. This leads her into a magical trap where she finds some of Lord Morsus' wardrobe on a bound Quentin. Roman and Milo use tricks to defend their house and catch Justin in it unaware that Justin is actually Lord Morsus in disguise.

"The Wizard at the End of the World: Part Two"

In the form of Justin, Lord Morsus entices Roman and Milo into helping look for Billie. Justin, Giada, and Alex find out that Bigalow McFigglehorn is under Lord Morsus' control. They use a tactic to get the Amulet of Evilini away from McFigglehorn and destroy it enough to free McFigglehorn from the evil spell. Meanwhile, Billie officially learns that Quentin is an orc as the necklace on him breaks and restores him to his true form. When Lord Morsus' Justin form, Roman, and Milo arrive, Roman unknowingly casts a spell to send Quentin to the Nowhere Zone as Billie mentions that the orc was Quentin. Lord Morsus as Justin begins being cruel and feeding Billie fear of not having a family and she begins losing control of her magic despite Roman and Milo objections and disagreements with their "father". Justin, Giada, and Alex go to The Gossip Stone to figure out who Lord Morsus is after discovering his name Torodos Morsus is a anagram for "Doom To Russos" The Gossip Stone reveals a Wizard who longed for great power only revealing the name Pennwolf before a curse takes affect and stops The Gossip Stone revealing more the name Pennwolf is familiar to Alex. Alex, Justin and Giada return to Alex’s apartment discovering Billie, Roman and Milo missing, Alex finds a box with The Pennwolf crest on it inside is a locket which won't open, they discover the object Morus wanted Quentin to use to bring Billie to him and Alex and Justin use it. Billie's magical power is growing more powerful and out of control until Justin and Alex arrive the two Justin's try to convince Alex, Billie, Roman and Milo they are real and the other is an imposter and Billie figures out who is the real one and Lord Morsus drops his disguise he greets Alex revealing they knew each other before he then traps Alex, Justin, Roman and Milo and tells Billie to open the rift or he will destroy her family. Alex and Justin tell her not to, Lord Morsus reveals his plan to rule over a world of darkness from The Russo’s most beloved place and reveals his lair is the Russo’s family former sub shop. Lord Morsus reveals that years ago he was close to fulfilling the prophecy and he had a son with the power to open the rift but he betrayed his father for Alex and when he discovered The Oracle painting it renewed his plan discovering Billie a wizard even more powerful able to open the rift and tells Billie to make her choice open the rift or lose her family. Billie power begins to open the rift and she begins struggling to do so Alex seeing Billie opening the rift a tear falls from her and lands on the locket opening it and revealing Alex as Billie mother and she hid Billie at WizTech to protect her and Justin is with Alex and she proceeded to erase all memories of Billie. After everyone has a reaction Billie, Alex, Justin, Roman and Milo all seem to have memories restored even Lord Morsus knows Billie is his granddaughter saying Alex hid his granddaughter from him for so long by hiding her from herself he then adds his son wouldn't have allowed that Alex reveals it was his idea. Milo gets a hold of a wand and frees himself, Roman, Alex and Justin. Alex and Billie embrace each other as mother and daughter Billie understanding her parents did what they had to in order to protect her. The rift portal is opening Alex takes off her locket giving it to Billie promising her they will see each other again and then tackles Lord Morsus through the portal and it seals soon after Justin, Roman and Milo are shocked by what has happened and Billie is devastated over losing her mother asking where her mom is Justin, Roman and Milo all embrace Billie. Soon after Giada, Justin, Roman, Milo and Billie return to their home on Staten Island and Justin says they will find Alex, Billie now wearing her mother's locket agrees saying "Russos Always have each others back".
